Bigmouth Galaxy: Bigmouth's Gold Bait

In order to open the Gold Chest, you'll have to grab the Gold Shell deeper in the level. Leap into the pool of water and use your spin attack to break through the brick wall.

You'll have to collect the five Sling Star pieces hidden at the bottom of this watery shaft. Most of them are hidden among the sea weed, directly in the sea serpent's path. They can be tough to find from ground level, so try swimming really high and look down to find them in these locations:


In the exact center, on the stone pedestal.
In the grass just a few feet past the stone pedestal.


In the grass near the stone pedestal (left of the cavern you just swam through).
In the grass just a few feet from the stone pedestal.


In the grass near the rocky pedestal, right of the cavern you swam through.

After collecting all five, a Sling Star will appear above the rocky pedestal. Launch from it to fly through the surface of the water, to another water basin along the ceiling - crazy, we know.

Now grab the Gold Shell along the ceiling with a Spin Attack and ride it back to the Gold Chest (don't worry about the Boos that appear, as you can destroy them by swimming through them). If you somehow lose the gold shell, just relaunch from the Sling Star for another.

Toss the Gold Shell at the gold chest to reveal a sta…wait, a toad? Talk him to acquire your true prize.
